Victoria-Zoi Papagiannis

Victoria-Zoi Papagiannis is a Partner in the dispute resolution department of Chrysostomides Advocates & Legal Consultants. She has extensive experience in the fields of commercial and corporate litigation and arbitration, primarily in high-value commercial or shareholder disputes, with an international or multijurisdictional aspect. She has successfully represented legal entities and HNW individuals in the context of complex corporate and commercial cases involving fraud, misrepresentation, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duties, fraudulent transfers and negligence.

She is regularly involved in the issuance or defending of injunctive relief in support of domestic and international court and arbitral proceedings (both ad hoc and institutional). In the area of arbitration, she has acquired significant experience both as a legal advisor and counsel, and guides clients through all stages of the pre- and post- arbitral process, including the recognition and enforcement of foreign arbitral awards.

In 2021, she was named ‘Cyprus Lawyer of the Year in the area of Dispute Resolution (Benchmark Litigation Europe Awards), while she is consistently recognised as a “Next Generation Partner” in LEGAL 500.

 

She holds a BSc Government from the London School of Economics & Political Science, a Graduate Diploma in Law (‘GDL’) from the College of Law, UK, an LLM from University College London. She is also a Barrister-at-Law (non-practicing) and CEDR-certified mediator.
