Roman Khodykin
Roman Khodykin is a partner in the International Arbitration team at Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner LLP, where he specialises in national and cross-border matters, with particular emphasis on shareholder and energy disputes. Roman is an English solicitor and admitted to practice in Russia.
He has Rights of Audience in the Senior courts of England and Wales, DIFC Courts (Dubai) and AIFC Court (Kazakhstan). He holds a Ph.D. in Conflict of Laws and is a visiting professor at the Centre for Commercial Law at Queen Mary University of London. He has also lectured at Clare College at the University of Cambridge, l’Universite Paris-Saclay (Universite de Versailles Saint-Quentin), and the University of Exeter, England. He has acted in numerous arbitrations under all major institutional rules.
During 2015-2018, Roman was an alternative member of the ICC Court of International Arbitration in Paris. Roman is highly recommended as one of the leading arbitration lawyers in both Chambers & Partners and The Legal 500 Guides. Roman writes extensively on the subject of arbitration. His recent publications include two books, titled Arbitration Law of Russia: Practice and Procedure (Juris, 2013) and A Guide to the IBA Rules on the Taking of Evidence in International Arbitration (Oxford University Press, 2019), as well as many articles.
