Nikki Coles
Nikki Coles is a Partner in Alvarez & Marsal’s disputes and investigations practice, specialising in accounting expert evidence for international arbitration and domestic litigation. Nikki has more than 23 years’ experience as a forensic accounting expert witness, and is listed by Lexology (formerly Who’s Who Legal) as a recommended expert in its Arbitration and Quantum of Damages categories. She has acted as an independent expert in both arbitration and litigation proceedings, and has given oral testimony and been cross-examined. Her experience covers issues of quantum (such as valuations and loss of profits) in the context of post-acquisition disputes, shareholder / joint venture disputes, intellectual property theft / misuse and breach of contract claims. She has also been involved in many contentious matters concerning the interpretation and application of accounting standards (both under UK and International financial reporting standards), including in relation to proceedings brought by regulators. Prior to joining A&M, she worked with AlixPartners UK LLP and Deloitte LLP. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Law from King’s College London, and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
