Hila Echerman

Senior Director of International Law, Ministry of Justice, Israel

Ms. Hila Echerman serves as Senior Director, International Economic Law in the Office of the Deputy Attorney-General (International Law) at the Israel Ministry of Justice. Her work focuses on issues relating to international economic law, including trade law, investment law, public international law, economic international organizations, international arbitration, energy, maritime law and economic sanctions.

She is also a member of Israeli delegations and takes part in intergovernmental taskforces responsible for bilateral negotiations and regularly works with international economic organizations. Currently, Ms. Echerman is heading the Israeli delegation to UNCITRAL Working Group III (Investor-State Dispute Settlement Reform).

Ms. Echerman joined the office in 2000. She received an LL.B. from the Catholic University in Caracas, Venezuela in 1998, and an LL.M from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, Israel, in 2002.
