Brandon Malone is an international arbitrator with Arbitra, London, Washington D.C. and Abu Dhabi. He has over 30 years’ experience in commercial dispute resolution. An advocate and barrister, Brandon has particular experience and expertise in construction, energy and infrastructure disputes, and is a member of the FIDIC President’s List of Approved Dispute Adjudicators.  Brandon was the architect and founding director of the Scottish Arbitration Centre, chairing its board from 2011 until 2022, and remains a board director and chair of its Rules Committee.

A founding director of the Scottish Society for Computers and Law, Brandon chairs the ICCA-NYC Bar-CPR Institute Working Group on Cybersecurity in International Arbitration.  He has written and lectured widely on the implications of blockchain and smart contracts for dispute resolution, and the impact of artificial intelligence.

Brandon has been appointed as sole, chair and party appointed arbitrator in complex high value arbitrations under a variety of ad hoc and institutional rules on four continents.  He is a member of many leading arbitral institutions’ panel of arbitrators, including AAA/ICDR, New York, SIAC, Singapore, DIAC, Dubai, and HKIAC, Hong Kong.

Whilst primarily engaged as an arbitrator and adjudicator, Brandon also accepts appointments as independent litigation and arbitration counsel.
